This blog began as a forum to share my experiences across the pond with my family and friends in the US. In September of 2011, I embarked on a year's journey to complete my MA in Shakespeare Studies at the University of Birmingham's Shakespeare Institute. I moved from sunny Southern California to the beautiful English countryside of Stratford-upon-Avon, England. From there I chronicled the true confessions of an American grad student: a personal journey about all things William Shakespeare and life in Stratford-upon-Avon.

When I officially graduated in December of 2012 and moved back to California, I sadly abandoned this blog. I felt that my journey had reached a resolution and felt that I could not bridge the gap between my dream-like experiences in England and my mundane return to the US. Little did I know that my journey had just begun.

The more I study Shakespeare, the more I feel as if I know nothing about the man we call the world's greatest playwright. There is so much more to discover, so much more to learn, and  many experiences I have yet to enjoy.
